Foodbag is a young company that was experiencing tremendous growth a few years ago. As a result, some of our ambitious, enthusiastic employees had to take on a team-leading role. We dived straight in, soon encountering a lack of clarity (who's responsible for what?), communication frustrations (how do I get my message across and give feedback?) and different cultures that sometimes seemed difficult to bridge. I was looking for support, and wanted to move past blah-blah and loose chitchat among ourselves. That's how I ended up with Karen. She created an open and safe atmosphere, listened and forced us to listen to each other. Each session - calmly constructed, with a clear goal and interspersed with specific examples - gave our team leaders practical signposts. Karen gave us structure and provided us with points of reference that we still use today - and even pass on to new employees.
